As Material Damage Manager for Freese & Gianelli, Dan Gomes puts his more than fourty years appraisal experience to good use. Since his first completed frame repair course at Vale National Training Center in 1973 to his numerous certifications and professional memberships, Dan’s entire career has been focused on ensuring that Freese & Gianelli appraisals are backed with exceptional knowledge and training.
Dan’s history with Freese & Gianelli dates back to 1969 when he worked as a Material Damage Appraiser in the Modesto, CA office. In 1970, Dan opened the Appraisal Department in the Merced Freese & Gianelli Office and was promoted to Material Damage Manager in 1979 and Vice President in 1998. Today, Dan is responsible for the training, education and work product for the entire Freese & Gianelli Appraisal Department.
Dan is a Independent Automobile Damage Appraisers of America (IADA) member, as well as a member of the Central California Adjusters Association (CCAA), the California Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters (CAIIA) and a Certified Collateral Cooperation Board Member (CCC). Dan has also served as an Appraisal Clause Arbitration Umpire and is classified as an “expert witness” in cases regarding valuation and diminished value.
