John D. Smith has 26 years of experience in the insurance claims industry. He graduated from Fresno City College with an Associates of Arts degree in Liberal Arts in 1975.
He started his career with Allstate Insurance Company in 1978. After completing their two-week introductory adjuster course, he completed their two-week property course for structure damage in 1980, and in 1982 he completed their two-week auto appraisal course.
Prior to leaving Allstate Insurance Company in 1985, he handled all levels of casualty and property claims, as well as auto appraisals.
John worked as a multi-line resident adjuster with JCPenney Insurance Company and was later promoted to claims manager in their San Jose office. He handled litigated files, while supervising six staff adjusters and overseeing files with independent adjusters.
