Neal began his career as an adjuster trainee with General Adjustment Bureau (GAB) in 1953, graduating from both fire adjusters and casualty adjusters school. He attended and completed IIA insurance courses for both property and casualty and went on to manage a GAB office prior to joining Freese & Ginaelli in 1969. His experience in handling multi-million dollar property and casualty losses and claims has earned him industry wide respect as a true multiple line adjuster.
Neal expanded his area of expertise to include specialization as a Third Party Claims Administrator for several self-insured governmental agencies, educational institutes and private entities including joint power agencies. In addition to his duties and responsibilities as Senior Vice President, he is known for his expertise in settlements involving arbitration and mediation as well as litigation management, which has gained him a high degree of respect from both defense and plaintiff bar. His extensive knowledge of the government code and education code has found him participating as speaker and moderator in numerous conferences and seminars relating to claims and suits involving both governmental agencies and educational institutions. Neal is well known for his handling and resolution of arson and fraud losses and claims, and has specialized in the area of accident reconstruction as both formulator and coordinator with numerous successful results. Over the years Neal has amassed superior knowledge regarding coverage in all lines of insurance. He has served as an appraiser, umpire and consultant involving numerous issues of coverage and analysis of liability. He has qualified in court as an expert in many areas. He is both a licensed insurance adjuster and private investigator, and is a certified Fair Claims Practice Regulation instructor, having certified insurance company and agency personnel as well as other independent adjusters in order to comply with the regulations. Neal was awarded the Registered Professional Adjuster designation and previously served two years on the Board of Directors for the California Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters. He was a convention chairman for the California Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters and also served as Vice President of the California Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters. He currently is a member of Public Agency Risk Management Association (PARMA), an active member of the California Association of Licensed Investigators and the Central California Adjusters Association. |
