Ms. Hoch's responsibilities include business development and marketing for Simon Companies as well as management of the General Liability Department of Freese & Gianelli. Prior to joining our staff Ms. Hoch was employed in the health benefit TPA industry both in the Western United States and in the Mid-West marketing self-funded customized plans for local and national self-insured corporations, school districts and government entities. She maintained a multi-state territory and was responsible for responding to RFP and RFI submissions as well as client and business development, broker development, implementation of new groups, reinsurance procurement and renewals, and account management supervision for a portfolio of clients ranging in size from 100 to 37,000 covered employees. Ms. Hoch earned additional insurance experience as an independent adjuster handing general liability and legal malpractice claims and supervising litigated civil claims through settlement and/or trial for both fully funded and self-funded clients. She has extensive experience with establishment of reserves and comprehensive liability evaluations. She has worked with the reinsurance markets to establish customized reporting packages, protocols and to facilitate renewals. Ms. Hoch also spent over 15 years working for civil insurance defense law firms as a litigation paralegal. In addition to her Paralegal Certification she has maintained an active California Life and Health Insurance Agent's License since 1998. She was licensed in Missouri and Kansas in 1997. Her expertise includes knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, NYHICRA and other self-insurance related legislation. She also has knowledge of numerous claims payment systems including RIMS, ERISCO and RENAISANCE. As part of her responsibilities at Freese & Gianelli she completes the California Fair Claims Settlement Practices seminar annually. She also facilitates, schedules and participates in all claims adjusting training seminars.
